Pretty in Purple

One should either be a work of art, or wear a work of art. - Oscar Wilde

I'm not trying to be conceited and claim that this dress is a work of art, but in all honesty is a work of a mommy's love. I got most of this dress done as we traveled last weekend, and finished it up today. Well, almost. I need to go buy buttons to put on the back of it, then it will officially be done. I'm really happy with the way it turned out, and with the fact that I began, and finished, a project in about 2 weeks. Yay!

Amanda that is beautiful. I tried leaving a comment on facebook but it kept putting it under the afghans. They are great also but I did not think E would look precious trying to wear them. I know she will be beautiful in this dress and what talent! I will be praying for the band situation also. Maybe she will not have to wear it as long as they think. God is always in control! Love ya, aunt Carol

The little dress is adorable! It certainly qualifies as a work of art. I love all the little details from the squared neck to the scalloped hem. Very cute. I really think you should offer the pattern for sale. There's probably no end of Nanas who'd like to make one for a granddaughter. :)
